Each summer the beautiful Cotswold Lavender Farm opens up its gates to the public, offering up a wonderful symphony of colours and scents, awakening the senses and inspiring the mind! It's a wonderful setting for your summer family photoshoot.

How do I book my Lavender Field Photoshoot?

(1) Select your session time


Use the link on this page to open my booking page and choose an available time slot that suits you.

(2) Pay your £xxx session fee


Your contract and invoice will be sent to you upon booking. Please sign and return your contract (digitally) to secure your booking.

(3) Plan your trip

(4) Choose your photos


After the photoshoot you will receive your own private gallery, from which you can choose your favourite photos, and have direct access to our range of hand-crafted, professionally printed products.

FAQs: Lavender Field Photoshoots

How much does the Lavender Field Photoshoot cost?

Your total session fee is £xxx which is payable at the time of booking.


Please note there is an entry fee for the Cotswold Lavender site. Adult entry is £7.50 per person and children between 5 - 15 years old are £3.25 (under 5s are free). Clients are required to purchase their own entry tickets at the gate on arrival. Please bring card for payment as Cotswold Lavender are a cashless business.


When can I get our photos taken in the Lavender Fields?

The Cotswold Lavender Farm opens up to visitors for a limited time each summer. In 2024, the farm will be open from Friday 14th June until Sunday 4th of August. Christopher J Photographer will publish one or two dates within that period for portrait sessions.


What is included in the Lavender photoshoot experience?

You will choose your 5 favourite images following the photoshoot through your own personal online viewing gallery. We normally expect to capture somewhere between 20-30 images to choose from during the half hour photoshoot session.


Once your favourite images have been edited and made 'print perfect' you will be able to download your print-ready images from the online gallery. Your images will print up to 12 inches on the long side (and 8 on the short side).


How long does the photoshoot last?

You will have a pre-booked X minute time slot with Chris. This is a 'mini session' format, which is a great way to update your family photos in a special setting, ensuring enough time to get a variety of images and without taking out too much time from your summer days with the family!


What happens if it rains or the weather is bad on the photoshoot date?

In the unfortunate event that bad weather prevents us from taking photos at the Lavender Fields on our selected date then I will refund your full session fee.


What should we wear for a Lavender Field photoshoot?

In short, general advice for outdoor photoshoots is to make sure everyone wears something they're comfortable in (particularly the younger family members), and avoid prints & logos if possible. For the best aesthetic, aim for more muted tones: pastels, whites and off-whites will work perfectly for a Lavender Field Photoshoot.


Where are the Lavender Fields?

The Cotswold Lavender Fields are found here: Hill Barn Farm, Snowshill, Broadway, WR12 7JY. This is the location that Christopher J Photography offers portrait sessions.


Are there other Lavender Farms that I can visit?

As well as our local Cotswold Lavender Farm, there are a number of other locations in the UK. We don't create portrait session at any other location, but some of these may be located closer to you and will be just as fantastic to visit, I'm sure!:
