Extended family photoshoot in the Cotswolds
Summer 2023 was our second year taking clients to the gorgeous Lavender Farm in the Cotswolds. Amy booked in with her sisters for an outdoor extended family photoshoot. During our pre-shoot discovery call I learnt about all six kids (aged between 6 months and 8 years old, at the time), and how close this family is... remarkably, the three sisters live now with their families within a street or two of each other, and also the grandparents.
This vibrant Cotswold Summer Photoshoot experience was the perfect opportunity to get beautiful images for the grandparent's Christmas parents.
Timeless Styling
When photographing at this vibrant Cotswold location it's important to consider the colour palette for your outfits. Amy and I discussed styling before the photoshoot. Muted tones and off-whites were the perfect companion to the sea of deep blues and purples of our natural outdoor backdrop. As you can see from the photos, coordinated tones pull this collection together nicely; Khaki shorts, consistent & delicate florals and sandals come together for a timeless aesthetic. These summery pictures will stand the test of time in the living rooms and kitchens of these 4 family groups (including grandparents) for as long as they like.
The following two images were selected by the sisters for framing as a gift to their parents. Two group shots - one of the boys, the second of the girls - a perfect pairing of photos for the living room, to be enjoyed ever after!
They were intended to be a Christmas present (imagine being that sorted by late summer!)... however when I checked in with Amy a couple of weeks after delivery, I was told that they were too excited to hold on to them any longer, and just HAD to show them the pictures!
